Manifest's friends GES invite you to their London 20th anniversary seminar and new website.

GES celebrates its 20th anniversary by hosting a high-profile seminar in London exploring the future for Responsible Investment. At the same time, GES launches a redesigned website.

Under the title "What works in ESG Engagement?", GES has invited a number of prominent players within Responsible Investment to jointly discuss the past, the present and the future. Fredric Nyström, Engagement Coordinator at GES and organiser of the event, builds on GES' own experience since its start in 1992 under the name of Caring Capitalism:

"Today, more than ever, people are discussing what is right and wrong with regards to ownership. Likewise, debate about how we ended up in a situation with financial crisis being the new normal is rife. Learning from the past, what will the financial world look like tomorrow - can we move into an era of Sustainable Capitalism?"

The panellists are:

  • Heidi Finskas, Advisor Responsible Investments, KLP, Norway
  • Craig MacKenzie, Head of Sustainability, SWIP, UK
  • Helen Parris, Director of Investor Relations, G4S, UK (DK)
  • Carl Rosén, Executive Director, ICGN, UK
  • Tytti Kaasinen, Senior Engagement Manager, GES, Sweden

Led by moderator Mike Tyrrell, SRI Connect, UK, they will provide practical advice, inspiration and insights from having taken RI on board and embedded responsible business practices into their organisations.

"This seminar is guaranteed free from PowerPoints and dull discussion. We encourage everyone to bring your most challenging questions to contribute to a lively discussion," says Fredric Nyström.

GES 20th Anniversary Responsible Investment Seminar will take place at the London Stock Exchange on April 3 at 3-5PM. Admission is free but registration is required at: http://Ges20anniversary.eventbrite.co.uk
GES' redesigned website is located at www.ges-invest.com
