The iSoft conspiracy case has moved on another step with the announcement by the Financial Reporting Council that its Accountancy and Actuarial Discipline Board has called a disciplinary hearing to investigate a formal complaint against a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in relation to the issues brought out by the iSoft allegations.

For reasons of "public interest" the hearing, due to take place at Keating Chambers in London between 23 and 26 February 2010, will be held in camera and both press and public will be excluded throughout the hearing.

In January the Financial Services Authority (FSA) confirmed that it has commenced criminal proceedings against four former directors of iSoft Group Plc. Patrick Cryne, Stephen Graham, Timothy Whiston and John Whelan were summonsed to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on 29 January 2010 to face charges of conspiracy to make misleading statements contrary to section 397 (1)(a) and (2) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and section 1 of the Criminal Law Act 1977.
