The regulatory function of the Swiss stock exchange has begun an investigation into UBS for possible breaches of the rules regarding the publication of price sensitive information. The investigation relates to the period from 2007 to the end of 2008. Further, the investigation will review the company's 2008 annual report for possible breaches of the Corporate Governance Directive. UBS has restated its 2008 accounts twice, in March and in May 2009.

No further announcement is expected from the Swiss Exchange until the investigations are completed.
